SEEDSALAD - MINT CAKE CALIFORNIAN TRIPLOID FEM
Mintz Cake Seedsalad - Californian Feminised Triploid Seeds
Mintz Cake Seedsalad is a next-generation feminised triploid genetics, selected to offer very high yields, great stability and a modern, intense flavour profile. This variety is the result of a cross between Thin Mintz, Ice Cream Cake F8 and High Octane F7, three top genetics that provide vigour, abundant resin production and a rich, complex aromatic bouquet.
The seeds are packaged in a sealed pipette and placed in a UV-resistant bag designed to best preserve seed quality and viability.
The plant flowers quickly (about 55 days) and develops very compact flowers with large calyxes, heavily covered in resin. One of the most interesting aesthetic features is the inner colouring with pinkish pigmentations, which gives the inflorescences a particularly attractive appearance.
Thanks to the triploid genetics, Mintz Cake shows high resistance to botrytis, increasing the reliability of cultivation even under the most difficult environmental conditions. Laboratory tests indicate 95% sterility, which contributes to the stability and quality of the inflorescences.
Aromatically, this variety offers a mainly gaseous profile, accompanied by sweet and creamy notes reminiscent of fruit and ice cream, creating an intense and persistent aroma.
The high resin production also makes Mintz Cake particularly interesting for processing: the return per extract exceeds 6%, making it a very high-performance genetic for this type of use as well.

Triploid seeds are triploid feminised seeds, which means that each plant contains three sets of chromosomes instead of the usual two. This naturally induced chromosome expression results in: increased vigour, reduced seed formation, increased stability.
In nature, it typically exists as a diploid plant with two chromosomes. However, through deliberate hybridisation and selective pressure, we have exploited a rare phenomenon by creating tetraploid plants using a natural chemical derived from the bulb of the autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale). These tetraploid plants are then crossed with diploid plants, resulting in offspring with three chromosomes, known as triploid seeds. These improved seeds open the way to greater genetic vigour and unprecedented possibilities.
This innovative technique is inspired by a proven natural method found in modern agriculture. Triploid plants are created through selective hybridisation methods using natural compounds. No genetic modification is involved. They contain no GMOs.
You can find examples of triploid plants in your kitchen fruit, such as seedless watermelon, grapes, bananas and citrus fruits.
ATTENTION: Hemp seeds are excluded from the legal notion of Cannabis, which means that they are not to be considered a narcotic substance (Law 412 of 1974, Art. 1, paragraph 1, lett. B; Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of New York of 1961 and table II of the Ministerial Decree 27/7/1992). In Italy, the cultivation of hemp is prohibited (Articles 28 and 73 of Presidential Decree 309/90) unless a special authorisation is obtained (Article 17 of Presidential Decree 309/90). In the absence of authorisation, seeds may only be used for other purposes (zootechnical, collecting, etc.). The seeds are sold with the reservation that they are not used by third parties in conflict with the law.
